The striding beast - sometimes referred to as a rhinoceros - bears three horns that descend from the forehead and down the neck. Along its back are three round knobs in relief. The creature faces down as if about to attack - with bared teeth and raised tail pointing forward. Above the front legs at the shoulders are closed wings.
